Candy in the making….

Long back, as a dreamy little child,
This tiny chronicle I would abide,
The candy I slipped into mouth, hide,
Was made in those heavens, wide.
By the pink bunnies, who hop, slide,
Amass the elements in the old guide,
Red from magical berries, on tree side,
Orange, the sunflowers would vide,
Yellow sweet honey comb’d provide,
Green from leaves from tree, glide,
Then the cute bunnies, without a bide,
Squashed the elements from both sides,
Next came the sweet sugar’s turn inside,
Sprinkled from the sky, gravity defied,
Here formed the candy, their real pride,
Then mother bought them, hid aside,
Tempted me, often stole them, besides,
Twisting my ears, mum would chide,
Candy enters my mouth as a pilot’s ride,
My heart, belly, filled with happiness tide…..

  1. Really enjoyed your lines….took me back in time….when I used to steal the candy almost every single time….though my parents were trying to hide it away from my sight….that joy to find it & then the pride 😉😂
