Rekindled

Lightning cloud - Limited Edition 1 of 20 Photography by Frederick ...

The dark fickle clouds glided in,
Completely shading the mighty sun,
Eager for striking my dead ground,
A perfect setup made to reform,
A fierce storm to rage within,
The dark purple clouds roared,
Inviting the great storms within,
A storm of fresh, diverse ideas,
A storm of firm grit, determination,
A storm of precious swayed passion,
A storm of a great revolution,
A sudden spark, a lightning,
An awakening, an introduction,
Of the real me to the frail me,
Walking out of the storm of change,
I realise that I’m not the same,
Next the real calm that came,
The storm, forever kindled a flame

This post was written in response to Thursday Poetry Competition, hosted by H.R Phoenix. The challenge was to write a poem on storm.

Thank you!
